Lately, when people ask me what I do, I tell them I make pretty Web pages. This is actually a little funny, since I've never really had a Web site of my own. I found a really old home page I made back in the day, and it struck me as odd that it was basically nothing. "I never know what to put on these things..." And I find it odd because here is something that I really like to do for other people, but never really took the time to do for myself....
I have recently started examining the question "What do you do?" and I realize I am not exactly answering it correctly. When I stop to really think about it, I:
- Help people share information.
- Help people find information.
- Make it easier for people to perform tasks.
So, what do I do? I help people. Not only by solving problems, but also by solving needs. The pretty Web pages and other applications I build for them? That's how I do it.
